Nothing technical — we are not going to ask you to work anything out.
Three things help most:
- Where the water ends up. In the yard, against the house, at a grate, over a downpipe, under paving.
- When it happens. Only after rain, or all the time regardless of the weather. That one answer often tells us which system we are dealing with before we arrive.
- Whether anything has changed on the block. A subdivision, a patio, an extension, a new driveway or fresh paving is frequently the whole explanation.
That is enough for us to know what to bring.
